The Bangor International Airport held an Inaugural Celebration...

for Continental Airlines' non-stop jet service from Bangor to Newark Liberty International Airport on June 9, 2005. Speaking at the ceremony were City of Bangor Mayor Frank Farrington, representatives for Senators Collins and Snowe, Congressman Michaud, and Governor Baldacci, as well as Martin DeLeon, Continental's Public Relations Manager from Houston, TX and Rebecca Hupp, BGR Airport Director.
The Celebration included a champagne toast at Ribbon Cutting time and two round trip airline tickets, compliments of Continental Airlines, were raffled off
