Bangor International Airport announced today that Avitat Bangor,..

comprised of the aviation service divisions of the airport, has been awarded the Silver Award for superior aviation service in ExxonMobil’s 2004 PremierSpirit promotion. Avitat Bangor won this award for the northeast region, which includes all of New England, New York and New Jersey. The award is based on customer service, image, quality control, volume growth and overall business performance. During the months of July through September, customers rated the airport’s facilities and service on a number of criteria. Avitat Bangor has built a reputation for outstanding service and this achievement proves our employees’ dedication to service and commitment to excellence.

The Avitat network was recently voted as being the premier aviation network, through a national survey conducted by Professional Pilot magazine. In order to become an Avitat, an ExxonMobil dealer must comply with very stringent guidelines, including quality facilities, properly trained employees and maintain a determined business volume. Achieving this recognition among the Avitat network illustrates that Bangor is a leader in the aviation service industry.

Frank Farrington, Mayor, City of Bangor, praised this accomplishment, “The City of Bangor is proud that Avitat Bangor won this prestigious award and continues to be recognized as a leading international aviation service provider.”

Rebecca Hupp, Airport Director also commented: “We are excited that Avitat Bangor and our employees were selected for this award. The ability to compete successfully against other major service providers from our region is a credit to the quality of our employees and reflects positively upon the Airport. It is because of the efforts of our employees that Bangor is recognized as a world class facility.”
