Date of Release: January 11, 2014
January 11, 2014 – Bangor, Maine – Today at 12:53 pm Delta’s flight from LaGuardia slid off the taxiway on its way to the terminal. The nose wheel ended up in the grass just off the taxiway. The passengers remained on board while BGR staff members returned the aircraft to the taxiway and towed it to the gate where the passengers deplaned at 1:43 pm. No passengers were injured.
Two charter flights have also been delayed when their crews ran out of flying time. The crews and passengers are staying in Bangor until tomorrow. Also, an AeroMexico flight bound for Montreal was diverted to Bangor this morning, they will also be staying in Bangor as their crew also ran out of hours.
Conditions at this time at BGR are back to normal and flights are getting back on schedule. We still recommend that passengers check with the airlines for status updated.
