For fuel, aircraft servicing, federal inspection services and other transit needs, Bangor promises prompt and competitively priced services tailored to fit your specific needs. Bangor International Airport is the leading technical and government clearance stop in the business.

Bangor's airside staff is known worldwide for its ability to turn any aircraft around quickly and safely during a full-service technical stop. A full government clearance technical stop averages a little over an hour for a Boeing 757; an hour and a half for a Boeing 747.

Highly experienced fuelers, mechanics, general attendants and cleaners stand ready to quickly and carefully service your equipment. Fuel uplifts for medium and heavy duty equipment are efficiently performed while food and beverages are replenished, lavatories emptied and the aircraft cleaned.

All of the expected incidentals are available at Bangor. Should a carrier encounter any technical malfunctions, Bangor has FAA/JAA licensed A&P mechanics available around the clock to perform virtually any task required, including ETOPS checks.

Pricing is competitive. Package deals are available with multiple levels of services for full government clearance transit, in-transit passenger deplanement (no governmental services), transit without passenger deplanement, cargo/ferry transit, originating flights, and terminating flights.

Fuel, Lube, & Fluids

Bangor Aviation Services is part of the Exxon-Mobile worldwide dealer network, backed by over 100 years of experience. Most major credit cards are accepted, as well as Exxon /Mobile cards. Bangor will work with your fuel broker or reseller as well. Contract arrangements are available for bulk and repeat purchases. Jet-A is available around the clock (with or without Prist additive) via hydrant and truck fueling. Bangor carries most popular brands of lubricants utilized by carriers, as well as hydraulic fluids.


Federal Inspection Clearance Services

Bangor's International Arrivals Terminal is the most convenient and time-efficient government and international travel services facility available in the United States. Many international tour and holiday carriers avoid congestion and delays at their ultimate destination by taking advantage of Bangor's ability to clear passengers quickly and efficiently through the various United States governmental agencies.

Bangor offers 24-hour access to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (formerly Customs & Immigration), U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Public Health and Animal/Plant quarantine services. Bangor's International Arrivals Terminal is specifically designed to handle clearing flights and is capable of processing 1000 passengers per hour.

Fees

No Canadian user fees at Bangor. Landing/ramp fees are quite reasonable and only charged for aircraft over 12,500 U.S. lbs. Handling fees are quite reasonable and discounts/flat fees are available for bulk/repeat services.


Dispatch Services

Bangor's Operations personnel are available 24/7 to handle dispatch needs. Experienced dispatchers coordinate an aircraft's arrival, servicing and departure with base operations, the F.A.A., Federal Inspection Service (Customs, Immigration and Agriculture) and all Ground Handling services.

Bangor Operations provide comprehensive briefings for crews, complete with current weather maps, notams, flight plan filing, weight and balance, and the daily North Atlantic routes. Movement messages are promptly provided to base operations ensuring that interested parties are kept apprised of an aircraft's whereabouts.

Complete Flight Watch services are available for any airline movements to and from United States and Caribbean points. Bangor's Operations facility features three separate lounge spaces for the convenience of your crews.


Snow Removal Capability

Bangor is renowned worldwide for its ability to remain open in the worst weather and has a snow removal capability second to none. Crucial to this capability is Bangor's experience in handling snow. Bangor operates a large fleet of state-of-the-art snow removal equipment, including snow plows, blowers, high-speed brooms and de-icing units.


Maintenance

Bangor Aviation Services has FAA licensed A&P mechanics available around the clock to perform maintenance/repair on most types of aircraft. Our repair station is FAA/JAA certified. Aircraft Cleaning

Aviation services staff takes pride in helping maintain the appearance of your equipment. Four levels of cleaning services are offered as a complement to ramp service packages, all competitively priced to meet your needs. Customs packages may also be arranged upon request. Bangor personnel are trained to clean all makes and models of aircraft.


De-Icing

Deicing for any type of aircraft is available around the clock.


Air Carrier Ops

Whether you are a large or small carrier, domestic or international, spaces for passenger or cargo operations are available at Bangor. Facilities for on-field maintenance operations are also generally available.

Rental fees and leases are reasonable and competitive. Bangor's administrative staff is small, flexible and highly-knowledgeable, ensuring prompt answers to questions and quick solutions to problems.


Diversions

Medical Emergencies
Emergency assistance is available 24 hours a day for in-flight medical emergencies. Two major medical facilities are within ten minutes of the airport.

Bangor Aviation Services offers immediate access to a partner medical facility. An ailing passenger can be evaluated and treated by experienced medical personnel immediately upon arrival at the facility. A rapid assessment of the patient's condition allows carriers to make operational decisions concerning the flight. Bangor's uniformed passenger service agents will assist the flight crew and will accompany an ailing passenger and family members to the hospital if necessary. Passenger Services will make local arrangements for accommodations if necessary.

Weather Diversions
Winter weather on the East Coast of the United States often adversely affects the schedules of international and domestic carriers flying into major metropolitan areas on the Eastern Seaboard. Bangor is a popular diversion stop when freezing rain, snow and fog close Boston, New York or other major metropolitan centers.

BGR is experienced in minimizing the diversion required by in-flight disturbances. We handle the situation securely and effectively and get you back on your way.

Emergency Equipment

Bangor International Airport is an Index E airport, the highest FAA rating with respect to fire and emergency protection. The airport is capable of handling any aircraft in the world. The Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Station (ARFFS), operates on-site with the following equipment; one P-4, 1500 gallon water/foam vehicle; two P-23, 3300 gallons each, water/foam/dry chemical vehicles; and one P-26, 5000 gallon pumper/tanker with 1500GPM pump. Rapid intervention vehicles include one P-32 fully equipped rescue vehicle. Rounding out the emergency vehicle stable is a P-15, 6100 gallon combination water and foam unit. On-site emergency vehicles are complemented by the rapid response capability of the Fire Department of the Air National Guard facility located on the field in conjunction with the City of Bangor Fire Department.


Catering

Catering services at Bangor are provided in partnership with BAFS Inc. Dedicated to providing innovative, flexible, diverse and personal services, BAFS is the choice for excellence in in-flight dining. All of BAFS' catering can be customized to meet specific in-flight needs.

BAFS' team of culinary professionals design menus to fit an airline's taste and budget. From economical menu selections of Italian specialties and entree salads to exquisitely prepared presentations including filet mignon and Maine lobster, BAFS Inc. prides itself on serving outstanding meals. BAFS Inc. offers experience with high-security flights, commitment to passenger privacy, knowledge of cultural tastes and traditions, and quality and consistency.

BAFS Inc., also, operates an on-site Foreign Waste Processing center. The facility is available 24 hours a day. The site operates in accordance with guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Bangor appreciates the demands on corporate flight departments and promptly turns flights with safe efficiency. Bangor's General Aviation facility features a fully equipped pilot lounge. Courtesy transportation is available to a restaurant on the field. Complete catering and meeting spaces are also available. For longer layovers, take advantage of Bangor's new quiet room for rest. Hangar Space

On a space available basis, Bangor can provide hangar space for aircraft sizes ranging from Piper Cubs to Caravans, G-IV's to Falcon 900's. Overnight, as well as long-term storage, is readily available. Heated hangars are also available.
