June sees an increase by American Airlines to its summer service from BGR with the introduction of a daily flight to Charlotte-Douglas International. The service, which will run from June 7 through November 3, builds on last summer’s Saturday only schedule.
American has also announced the addition of a Saturday service to Chicago for the same period, as well as the reintroduction of its LaGuardia weekend service from June 7 to Labor Day.
Commenting on the new services, which also include an increase in Allegiant’s summer schedule and the return of United’s seasonal Chicago flights, Airport Director Tony Caruso said: “There’s no doubt that the 12 percent increase in seats last year, as well as increased demand, contributed to the growth in passenger numbers, helping us to break the 500,000 annual passenger threshold.
“With the introduction of these additional services we’re eagerly anticipating another great year.”
