Airport Director

Jose has carved his path through the aviation industry, holding different roles at airports and other sectors adjacent to the industry, including positions at Midland International Air & Space Port and Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Most recently, Jose led the innovation efforts for the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) in Alexandria, Virginia, as Director of Industry Programs. In this capacity, Jose coordinated the efforts of leading airports and industry leaders to implement solutions aimed at improving passenger experience.  

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Airport Management from the University of North Dakota, and a Master’s Degree from Western Carolina University in Innovation Leadership and Entrepreneurship.

Beyond the confines of the aviation world, Jose enjoys hiking new trails, reading mostly non-fiction books, cooking an elaborate meal, and much more. Nestled in Bangor, he shares his home with his loyal companion, Higbee, a Dalmatian with a heroic past as a former fire dog.

Assistant Director

Evan brings to BGR many years of experience in workplace relations and management, having spent much of the past decade serving as Supply Chain and Operations Manager at Northern Light Health.  He is a graduate of Norwich University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at Husson University.

A native of Hampden, Evan has a strong passion for his community and is proud to hold a key role here at BGR.

He resides in Winterport with his wife and 6-year-old son. In addition to watching sports of all kinds, Evan enjoys making people happy with the deliciousness he is capable of cooking up on the grill.

Manager of Airfield Operations

Beth is a lifelong Mainer who has been working as part of the Bangor International Airport team for more than three decades. Before taking on her current role, she worked for several of the airlines that have been a part of BGR’s history. She is a graduate of Hesser College in Manchester, New Hampshire where she studied Travel and Tourism, as well as Business Management.

Beth and her husband reside in her hometown of Lincoln, where they raised their three children and now enjoy making memories with their seven grandchildren. The Martins stay busy running a small winery business, but take time during the summer to relax at their camp on Madagascal Pond.

Marketing & Business Development Manager

Aimee joined the BGR Team in May 2018. As the Marketing & Business Development Manager she is responsible for Air Service Development, advertising and marketing campaigns, community outreach and public relations programs. Aimee also is involved with BGR’s Air Cargo development initiatives along with general aviation and military business development. She serves as the airport’s Public Information Officer.

For 16 years, Aimee worked as a reporter and editor at the Bangor Daily News. She also spent a couple of years as a writer in the Communications Department at the University of Maine, has taught journalism at UMaine, and immediately prior to joining BGR served as the marketing and fund development director at the Old Town-Orono YMCA. Aimee is a 2003 graduate of the University of Maine majoring in English and Journalism and also is a graduate of the UMaine Honors College. She is most proud, however, of her family. Together, she and her husband Cory have two young children and a Yellow Lab that likes to eat everything.

Finance Manager

Born and raised in the Bangor area and a graduate of Bangor High School, Jody followed in her mom’s footsteps and started her career in banking.  Eleven years later, she took a job with the City of Bangor in 1999 where her Dad also served as a firefighter for 20 years.  After spending a year in the Treasury Office, she moved to the Finance Department where she worked for 17 years prior to joining the airport as its Finance Manager in 2018. 

Jody enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Jeff, and her adult daughter, Cassidy.  She loves to travel with longtime friends and has been known to travel roads she has never been on just to see where they go. An animal lover, Jody has a cat, Pebbles, that runs the house and a new Boxador pup (Boxer-Labrador mix) named Nellie. “Bangor International Airport is like a little City within the City.  I truly enjoy my job here at BGR.  We have a fantastic group of employees with many years of aviation experience.  It is truly impressive to watch them all pull together to provide outstanding service to the aircraft and to the crews and passengers.”

Manager of Infrastructure and Compliance

Jeff has held a variety of roles at BGR since he first started working here in 2004, all of which helped him gain the skills and knowledge that will be critical for his new role as Manager of Infrastructure and Compliance. Jeff has worked for the airlines, at BGR General Aviation Services, and with the fuel department.

As part of the airport’s management team, Jeff is responsible for oversight of the Tank Farm, maintenance of all of BGR’s properties, as well as security and compliance.

Jeff attended Daniel Webster College where he achieved his Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management and an Associate Degree in Flight Operations.

Jeff is licensed as a private pilot, but these days he spends more time taking trips to the coast not by air, but on his cherished motorcycle.
