About Bangor


Downtown BangorBangor is the county seat of Penobscot County, Maine, and the major commercial and cultural center for eastern and northern Maine. Bangor is the third-largest city in Maine, with a population over 140,000.

Rich in history and culture, and offering abundant outdoor activities, Bangor is just nine miles from the University of Maine, and home to author Stephen King.
